Lament for Ukraine

Join with the churches and synagogues as they pray the words Psalm 31. I’ll start it here and continue in your Bible… (I’ve changed I to we)

“To you o Lord, do we take refuge; let us never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver them! Incline your ear to us; rescue them speedily! Be a rock of refuge for them, a strong fortress to save them! For you are our rock and our fortress; and for your name’s sake you lead us and guide us; you take us out of the net they have hidden for us, for you are our refuge. Into your hand I commit our spirits; you have redeemed us, O Lord, faithful God…

As we cry out with the Ukrainians, let us especially cling to the word of hope In the lament

Praise be to the Lord,
for God showed us the wonders of God’s love
when they are in a city under siege.
Psalm 31:21
