Climbing Upward

Looking at the picture, have you ever been in her shoes? Think of a time when you climbed a hill or mountain. What was the process like?

I wonder if she worked her way up without stopping or if she collapsed part way.

Can you think of a time when you experienced this mentally, emotionally, or spiritually?

What helped you through these experiences?

As you think about life today, is there anything that can connect or help you now?

Recognizing each of our responses to the picture as unique and valid, I thought I’d share my response…

I feel like some seasons of life are like this hill, a long, arduous journey up hill. Climbing, climbing and climbing. At times, I need to stop and rest. Other times I just keep putting one foot in front of the other and can only focus on the next step in front of me. Through it all, I feel God’s constant presence and encouraging words gently spoken, “I am with you. Trust me, I will never leave nor forsake you on this hard, long journey.”
