Shepherd Poem

Our clothes are tattered, sandals worn.

Our occupation keeps us outside, alone.

Yet you invite us to come, to see, to believe.

Invitation given by angels.

We accept and say, “let’s go!”

By faith, we set out on this path

Trusting, believing that our Savior was born today.

We find this amazing babe,

Just as we were told.

Awe and amazement flood our being, we bow in adoration.

Reveling in this truth:

Love came down

Love is here

You are with us

Just as we were told.

The story doesn’t end here.

We embark upon the path once more,

Life shifted, perspective changed,

Heart overflowing, praise abounding.

Story is shared with those near

“Come, see, believe.

Christ has come for you… for me

ALWAYS present, we’re never alone.

Just as we have been told.”
